Workforce Sourcing and Retention Specialist

Do you love meeting people, getting out into the community, and helping others find great opportunities? We're looking for a relationship-builder who thrives on connecting people to meaningful, long-term careers at Four Seasons Produce. If you enjoy networking, making an impact, and being a catalyst for change, this role is for you.

About the Role

The Workforce Sourcing Specialist is a community-facing role responsible for developing and sustaining a strong talent pipeline for warehouse and operational positions. This position spends significant time in the field-building partnerships, representing Four Seasons Produce, and creating awareness of career opportunities. Equally important, this role supports new associates during onboarding and helps them integrate successfully into our operations, values, and Winning Culture.

What You'll Do

Talent Sourcing & Community Engagement

  • Serve as the face of Four Seasons Produce at community events, job fairs, schools, churches, and workforce programs.
  • Develop creative, grassroots outreach strategies to attract candidates for warehouse and logistics roles.
  • Build strategic relationships with schools, community leaders, training centers, immigrant support groups, and non-profit organizations.
  • Host and participate in hiring events that welcome, inform, and reflect our commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Engage with candidates in person, by phone, and online to guide them throughout the hiring journey.

Onboarding, Integration & Culture Support

  • Partner closely with Operations, HR, and Training to ensure every candidate transitions smoothly into their new role.
  • Provide a concierge-style onboarding experience-checking in with new hires from on-boarding to 6 months days to support engagement and retention.
  • Help new associates acclimate to the workplace environment and understand expectations, safety standards, and performance culture.
  • Reinforce Four Seasons' values and Winning Culture by helping new hires feel connected, welcomed, and supported.
  • Identify early warning signs of disengagement or turnover risk and communicate insights to leadership for timely intervention.
  • Collect feedback from new associates to continuously improve onboarding and cultural integration processes.

Feedback & Reporting

  • Provide timely insights to leadership on sourcing trends, community dynamics, and pipeline performance.
  • Track partnership activity, sourcing outcomes, and new-hire onboarding feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Who You Are

  • Outgoing, approachable, and energized by meeting new people.
  • A natural connector who builds trust quickly across diverse communities.
  • Comfortable working both in the field and in warehouse environments.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred) and skilled at engaging multicultural talent pools.
  • Passionate about helping people find stable, meaningful, long-term careers.
  • Creative, resourceful, and willing to try unconventional outreach strategies.

What You Bring

  • Hands-on understanding of warehouse environments and familiarity with material handling equipment (e.g., high lifts, pallet jacks, center riders).
  • Experience or education in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, enabling you to:
    • Analyze behavioral and motivational patterns behind retention and turnover.
    • Identify cultural, environmental, or leadership factors influencing retention.
    • Offer actionable insights to improve job-fit, engagement, and onboarding effectiveness.
  • Ability to assess candidate potential and support early-stage retention through proactive onboarding touchpoints.
  • 1-3 years in recruiting, community outreach, sales, or other people-focused roles.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Comfort working independently while managing multiple partnerships.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Success in This Role Means

  • Establishing at least five new community partnerships within your first 90 days.
  • Being recognized as a trusted community connector and sourcing leader.
  • Providing new hires with a positive, structured onboarding experience that improves retention.
  • Consistently introducing engaged candidates who become long-term contributors to Four Seasons Produce.
